May 16, 1952 - March 05, 2009 REX A. HARTMAN, 56, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the nursing home. Rex was born May 16, 1952, in Clinton, IA, to Arnold A. and Grace E. (Zuidema) Hartman. He was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and graduated from Fulton High School. He assisted his father in farming, and was employed at Wildwood Farms in Fulton, IL. He also did yard care for various individuals, worked as a private duty caregiver and also was employed by Fulton Corporation – Fulton, IL, as a maintenance man. Rex enjoyed bicycling, photography and was an accomplished musician, capable of playing many instruments. He also was an amateur artist. Survivors include his mother, Grace E. Hartman of Fulton; three nieces, Lindsay Hannan of Moline, IL, Melanie Purcell of Clinton, IA and Rachel Purcell of Clinton, IA; great nieces and nephews, Madison and Nadalie Burman; Vaugh, Lea and Marlee Purcell; Aaron Hasenmiller Cade Hannan. He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Vickie Purcell-Weaver.
