December 27, 1924 - January 14, 2009 MURIEL L. WILDMAN, 84, of Clinton, IA, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at her home. Muriel was born December 27, 1924 in Prophetstown, IL, to George and Bessie Mae (Goembel) Eshelman. She was educated in the Hooppole Grade School and was a graduate of Atkinson High School in Atkinson, IL. She first married Vernon Taets. Muriel later married Claude L. Wildman on March 21, 1952 in Hooppole, IL. He died December 11, 2000. Muriel was first employed by General Electric in Morrsion, IL. Later, she worked as a waitress at the former Melody Restaurant in Fulton, IL. She then worked as a nurses aide at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton and most recently, she was employed by National Lock in Savanna, IL. She was a former member of the Argo Fay United Methodist Church and current member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church in Clinton, IA. Survivors include two daughters, Janette (John) Yogerst of McFarland, WI and Margret (Michael) Funk of Davenport, IA; one son, Monte (Maggie) Taets of Oklahoma City, OK; a daughter-in-law, Sandy (Al) Dierckman of Monroe, WI; eight grandchildren, Colette (Matt) Balfanz, Jennifer (Brad) Schmitt, Michael Shimp, Megan (Michael) Gray, Monique (John) Parks, Michelle (Jerry) Broughton, Mindy (Brad) Baumgartner, and Heath (Teresa) Wildman; and seven great grandchildren; and Muriel's dear caregivers, Lance Carlson and Deb Hanson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; a stepmother, Neva Swan-Eshelman; one son, Mark Wildman, and one sister, Genevieve Metzner.
