FRANCES M. LASHELLE, 86, of 19111 Elston Road, Fulton, IL, died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, IA. Frances was born June 15, 1922 in Thomson, IL to Lee and Mary (Grawe) Potter, Sr. He was educated in the Thomson grade schools and graduated from Thomson High School in Thomson, IL. She married Floyd L. LaShelle on September 21, 1940 in Clinton, IA. He died October 26, 2003. Frances retired from working at the Fulton High School Cafeteria. She was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church where she participated in the Ladies Society. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, and reading. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Shadle of Princeton, IL; two sons, Gary (Mary) LaShelle of Oroville, WA and Ronald (Mary) LaShelle of Albany, IL; nine grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Fisher, Shawna (Rick) Tabor, Chris Mauk, Becky (Jeff) Barker, John LaShelle, Julie (Phillippe) Mure-Ravaud, Amy (Dan) Portz, Jeremy Shadle and Ashley Shadle; sixteen great grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Arlene (Ken) Starr of Thomson, IL; one brother, Lee Potter, Jr. of Savanna, IL; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ilene Potter of Freeport, IL and Mrs. Genevieve Potter of Rockford, IL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; one grandson, Jamie Shadle; four brothers, Don, Fay, Howard, and Merle Potter; one sister, Ardetta Wallin, and a son-in-law, Jeffrey Shadle.
