Mustangs Gain Play-Off Victory

The Morrison Mustangs started their second season with a convincing victory over the Vikings from Downs-Tri-Valley. Taking an early 21-7 lead into the half time break was more than the Vikings could overcome.

Many players contributed to the win, but the defense remains the center of the 2008 Mustang’s surge to an eight and two record.

Saturday’s Round 2 game against conference rival Bureau Valley will match an ever improving Morrison team and the Storm that wants to gain revenge for it’s only loss of the season.

Game time is 2 p.m. and the gates open at Manlius at 12:30 p.m.
