Volley For The Cure

Morrison High School will host Volley for the Cure events in conjunction with their home volleyball matches against Newman High School on Thursday, October 2. Volley for the Cure is a breast cancer awareness and fundraising initiative that was created as a way to honor and celebrate the heroic fight against breast cancer. The promotion is dedicated to all men and women who have been touched by breast cancer with the hopes that this devastating disease will one day be cured. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

Fundraising efforts include a Baked Potato Bare ($5 for a potato loaded with your favorite toppings, drink and dessert), volleyball serving contest, raffles, and selling t-shirts. All who attend are also encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. Breast Cancer Survivors will be admitted free of charge.

We all know someone who has been afflicted with breast cancer and this is a wonderful opportunity to provide education while also giving back to the community.
