A Creepy Crawly Night of Fun

Craft time

Northside Elementary School had a night of creepy crawlers. The school held an evening of “Bugs, Insects and Other Creepy Crawlers” last week.

The event began with a story time, followed by a craft activity in the cafeteria. The students and their parents could create their own insect friends using many different items. Pipe cleaners, coffee filters, feathers, pom pons, buttons, and more were transformed into creepy crawly bugs.

The children were able to see a snake and a tarantula up close. They also enjoyed a “creepy crawly” scavenger hunt and a matching game. To quench their thirst and hunger, “bug juice” and insect cookies were on the menu.
