Northside Invites Student to a Creepy, Crawly Evening of Fun

Mosquitoes, spiders, and butterflies – oh my!

An evening of “Bugs, Insects, and Other Creepy Crawlers” will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Northside Elementary School from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. All preschool, kindergarten, first and second grade students and their families are invited to attend.

The event will begin with a classic Eric Carle story, followed by a craft activity in the cafeteria where students and their parents can create their own insect friends. Participants will also partake in buggy games in the gym and outside the school (weather permitting).

Live bugs, insects, and a variety of other creatures that chirp and scurry in the night will be available for viewing and discussion.

A light refreshment of insect cookies and bug juice will be served.

Families in attendance will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a mouthwatering “buggy cake.”
