PSAE Testing at Morrison High Sschool

The Prairie State Achievement Examination (ACT) will be taking place for Morrison High School Juniors on Wednesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 24, 2008. The PSAE consists of two tests. Day 1 is the ACT Plus Writing Test and Day 2 is a science test and applied Mathematics and Reading for Information tests. The scores from the ACT Test are what most colleges use in their admission process. The Day 2 portion is just as important in the fact that it measures Morrison High School and its individual students in meeting the Illinois Learning Standards.

If you are a parent to an eleventh grade student, please make sure he/she is present both days of testing. It is beneficial that he/she gets a good night sleep prior to both days of testing. It is proven that students who eat a healthy breakfast prior to testing tend to not only get better scores but handle the testing process more easily. Once the testing is completed each day, the students are allowed to leave school for the remainder of the day, providing they have turned in a permission form signed by their parent/guardian.
