MORRISON TO HOST JUNIOR HIGH MUSIC CONTEST

Morrison Junior High and High School will play host to junior high music contest on Saturday, March 15. Schools represented at the contest will be Morrison Junior High, Fulton Middle School, and Erie Middle School.

Bands and choirs will perform selections for a panel of judge, and students will perform solos and ensembles throughout the day. Each event is evaluated against a set standard and is rated on a scale of 1 to 3, with 1 being excellent, 2 good, and 3 fair.

Each of the judges is asked to select one event considered to be the best of the day. These events will perform at an Honor’s Recital at 2 p.m. in the MHS auditorium.

Morrison’s Junior High Band will perform at 8:30 a.m. on the MHS auditorium stage. The MJHS Sixth Grade Choir will perform at 9:50 a.m., and the Seventh and Eighth Grade Choir will perform at 10:50 a.m. on the MHS auditorium stage.

All events are open to the public, and there is no admission charge. Instrumental music is taught by Mr. David Bean. Vocal music is taught by Ms. Darlene Powers-Palmer.
