Stolen Cash Found at Timber Lake Playhouse

Henry and his wife Jean, played by Ben Mason and Cassandra Marie Nuss, along with their friends Vic and Betty, played by Sarah Dothage and Jeremy Day, take the money and run in TLP's hysterical farce Funny Money!

A drunken housewife, a sappy accountant, the Russian Mafia and a mysterious briefcase full of money promise for a hysterical evening of theatre at Timber Lake Playhouse! Playing July 12-21, Funny Money is a fast-paced comedy farce jam-packed with humorous predicaments, comic mischief, and loads of fun! From the author of last season’s Tom, Dick and Harry, this hilarious comedy will have you rolling in your seats with laughter!

Funny Money is packed with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and oddball characters that the audience will love,” exclaims Director Brad Lyons. He selected Funny Money for the 2007 season after seeing the audience’s response to last year’s successful Tom, Dick & Harry, which he also directed.

Henry Perkins will be played by Ben Mason - who starred in Tom, Dick and Harry. His wife Jean will be played by Cassandra Maria Nuss, who recently appeared as Mona in TLP’s The Best Little Whorehouse and Mina in Dracula. The actors portray an ordinary couple whose lives are turned upside-down when Henry mistakenly picks up a stranger’s briefcase and finds it full of cash! They are joined by their friends Vic and Betty Johnson, played by Jeremy Day (Melvin P. Thorpe in Best Little Whorehouse) and TLP’s sassy red head veteran Sarah Dothage. The couples stash the cash, dodge the police, mafia and a nosey cab driver in an attempt to head off to Barcelona. With crazy twists and turns, this laugh packed rollercoaster ride is sure to amuse everyone!

The exciting TLP main stage season will continue with the heartwarming Irving Berlin classic, White Christmas, and the Broadway smash hit, Smokey Joe’s Café.
