Clinton Community College & Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program present the Clinton Community Suicide Prevention Program. The purpose of this program is to educate the community about suicide – learn to recognize the warning signs and how to respond and help prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Parents, students, teachers, clergy, health care workers, guidance counselors, social workers, anyone wanting to learn about this important subject, anyone concerned about family or friends are invited to attend this program. Speakers for the program include Keynote Speaker: Frank Fleming, RN, BSN, Co-clinical Director, Mental Health Research Center, University of Northern Iowa; Chris McCormick-Pries, Associate Director for Research, Evaluation & Community for Vera French Community Mental Health Center, Davenport; Brad & Dawn Knutson, Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program. Panel discussion to include all speakers plus Dr. Prabhaker Pisipati; Dawn Knutson; Deb Greve; Jill Sidlinger, LMHC; and Frank Fleming. Panel Moderator: Father John Stack. The program will be presented on Thursday, July 12, 2007 from 6:00 – 9:15 p.m. at the Clinton Community College Auditorium. There is no cost for this program.
