Legacy to Present "Let's Rise Up" Concert |

Legacy will be presenting their “Let’s Rise Up” Concert at Morrison High School Auditorium, 643 Genesee Ave. in Morrison, IL on April 28, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Along with Legacy the concert will also feature The Hot Tamale Worship Band and Anna Trent. The evening will be filled with Christian music that the whole family will enjoy. Legacy is a Christian rock and worship band based out of Fulton, Illinois. The ministry of Legacy started in 2005 in response to God’s calling to minister through rock music to the church and those seeking something to believe in. Legacy performs adult Christian contemporary, rock, praise and worship, and pop music in its concerts. A typical concert with Legacy will be filled with music, ministry moments, testimony and reflection. Legacy is available to provide indoor or outdoor concerts for churches, community celebrations, and special concert events. The ministry started at Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton, Illinois, although the members of the group live in several of the surrounding communities. Members of the group include Heidi Fehlhafer, lead vocals/keyboards/songwriter, Gary Fehlhafer, bass guitar, husband of Heidi from Mt.Carroll; and Shawn Anton, vocals/guitar/songwriter, from Fulton. Members from Morrison include Mark Kooi, guitar and Luke Akker, drums. Each of the members has a musical history, including singing with family groups, various choirs, and other gospel groups; leading praise and worship; and playing with various secular rock groups. The Hot Tamale Worship Band is the worship ministry of Open Bible Fellowship in Morrison, IL. The group exists to lead people into an attitude and heart of worship that transcends the normal Sunday morning experience to help people worship on a 24/7 basis. Members of the band are from the surrounding area and include; Mike Harmon as worship leader, Steve Harmon on acoustic guitar and vocals, Chris Morris on drums, Al Easley on electric guitar, Chris Reed on bass guitar, Dana Crossman on percussion, Korene Sturtz and Pam Huisingh on vocals. Anna Trent soloist/songwriter is a 17 year old who wants to love and serve God through her music. She's been playing guitar for nearly 5 years. Anna attends the Mount Carroll Church of God. She loves to hang out with her friends and watch and make movies with them.
