Whiteside County Extension Hosting Rural Partners

Whiteside County Extension will be hosting Rural Partners Homeownership Initiative Community Forum on March 28, at the Sterling Coliseum. Rural Partners is a not for profit corporation established in 1989 to promote rural community and economic development activities.

Rural Partners’ Executive Director, Kay Gregg, will be speaking about their home ownership initiative. The focus of this initiative is building new and affordable housing targeting people who have not been able to participate in that market in the past. A discussion period will follow her presentation.

This event includes lunch and both the event and lunch are offered without charge beginning at noon. Ms. Gregg will begin her presentation at 1:00. Extension requests that persons interested in attending RSVP by March 20, by calling the Extension Office at 815-772-4075.
