Those present for the Ribbon Cutting were: Roann Porter, Chamber Secretary, Darlene Smith, Chamber, Sandy Prescott, Chamber, Louise Clark, Owner, Jackie Woodman, employee, Jason Wheat, Chamber President and Mayor Roger Drey.

Smith & Associates Real Estate re-opened in June of 2005 and is a new member of the Morrison Chamber of Commerce. Louise Clark, Real Estate Broker, purchased the property & business in July, 2005 from Gail Smith who purchased the property and business from Ray Harvey Real Estate in the early 1990’s. Many of you will remember working with Ray Harvey when he operated out of the office at 201 N. Orange (same building; different entrance).

Louise Clark has been a Realtor since 2001 and a Broker since 2003. She is excited about her new endeavor and is also very happy that Jackie Woodman, the daughter of Gail Smith, is also with the firm. Jackie has been a Realtor since 2000, and a Broker since 2002. Louise and Jackie work well as a team assisting each other so that the customers get the best service. They both have the same philosophy about working with clients; no hassle, no pushing people into a decision they’re not happy with. “We always want customers and clients to be happy and confident about their purchases.”

Smith & Associates is a member of the Sauk Valley Association of Realtors and the Sauk Valley-Dekalb Multiple Listing Service. Their listings will be able to be seen on their local website Smith Realty Online, Northern Illinois Homes and Realtor.com.

Business hours are Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9-12. They are located at 300 W. Main Street (corner of Main and Orange Streets). Take a minute to stop by and say hello to Louise and Jackie.
