2005 Year in Review

Plowing Contest and Horse-Mule Pull

Gail and Ruth Rogers will be holding a Plowing Contest and Horse-Mule Pull at their farm in rural Morrison. The Roger’s farm is located at 17797 Spring Valley Road, Morrison. Northern Illinois Draft Horse and Mule Association (NIDHMA) sponsors the event.

The Plowing Contest will be held Saturday, September 24 beginning at 10 a.m. The pulling contest will be held Sunday, September 25 beginning at 12 noon. There will be Men’s, Women’s and Children’s Divisions in these events and premiums will be awarded.

NIDHMA is a not for profit organization whose purpose is to educate members and the general public regarding the customs and uses of draft horses and mules. The association sponsors and participates in a variety of activities throughout the year in keeping with their purpose.
