Community Bike Rodeo

The Morrison Community Bike Rodeo will be held on May 21, 2005, from 9 a.m. until noon at the parking lot between the Morrison Junior High School and Southside Grade School. This is a great opportunity not only to promote safety for children but also gives parents an opportunity to share in a fun experience with their children.

The kids, ages three through 16 will receive a “bike drivers license” with their picture on it just like a real driver’s license. There will also be drinks and snacks available. It should take about an hour for the children to register, take a driving test, have their bicycle inspected, and receive their driver’s license. There is no rain date for this event.

A free drawing for two bicycles will be held and bike seat reflectors-flashers will be handed out to participants.

The Rodeo is sponsored by Ruth Gundlach, State Farm Agency; Maurits and Jost, Inc Insurance Agency; Mickley Insurance Agency; Country Companies Insurance Agency; Morrison Police Department; Morrison Fire Department; and Morrison Community Hospital.
