Ribbon Cutting for Sesquicentennial Store

The Morrison Sesquicentennial Store held its ribbon cutting on Tuesday afternoon, April 19, 2005. The store officially opened on Wednesday, April 6. The store is located at 218 West Main Street.

Store hours for the month of April are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-4 p.m. The hours will be extended as the Sesquicentennial celebration nears.

The store sells t-shirts, sweat shirts, can cozies, pencils, temporary tattoos and pins all with the Celebrating 150 logo. You can also get your two-day passes to the events happening at the fairgrounds from July 8-10 and entry forms for the parade and pageant. Coming soon will be caps, mugs and plastic drink containers. More items of interest will be added.

Don Mulnix has his books on the 150 Years Religious Societies of Morrison, which includes stories of all the churches in Morrison.

The Presbyterian Church, which is also celebrating 150 years, is selling mugs, wooden church replicas and stationary.
