Whiteside County 4-H Support Fund invites individuals, families, organization, businesses and the general public to participate in their second annual “Brick Drive.”

4-H Support Fund Committee is continuing their construction of a brick wall of memories containing donated bricks with names of past, present and future 4-H related persons, organizations or businesses in Whiteside County. The committee has constructed their “wall” outside the southeast side of the Agricultural Building on the Whiteside County Fairgrounds. The present drive began September 1, 2004 and continues through March 15, 2005. They plan to install the second order by July, 2005.

The brick wall will be 18 feet long by six feet wide, 100 existing 4” x 8” bricks in peach-buff tones. They have space for at least 300 more bricks donated by any person(s) submitting orders by March 15, 2005. They plan to continue their “Memories in Mortar” project as an ongoing tribute to those who impact the 4-H program in Whiteside County.

The cost of each brick is $50.00, which includes up to three lines of engraving (13 spaces per line). For more information or an order form call the Whiteside County Extension office at 815-772-4075.
