Mustangs Open Regional with Win

The Morrison Mustangs avenged an earlier loss to the  Fulton Steamers and eliminated them from the Regional action at West Carroll on Monday , February 18.

Henson and Scott Win High Point Trophies

The East Moline Swim Club hosted a swim meet on Friday, February 1, through Sunday, February 3, 2013, at the East Moline, IL, Municipal Swimming Pool.  Twenty-six Seahorses made the trip and did a fantastic job!  The Seahorses will end their winter/spring season at the Conference Meet at Freeport, IL, Middle School on Saturday, March 16.

Harridge at the State Finals

Editor's note:  Morrison High School Varsity Wrestling coach Tony Wright submitted this State Tournament report of the performance by qualifier Calvin Harridge.

Each year the IHSA State Wrestling Tournament serves as a grand spectacle of some the Nation's best wrestlers.  Illinois is regarded as one of the top wrestling states in the Nation, and that status is backed by team titles at the National level six years running.

Freshmen Win Newman Tourney

The Morrison freshman basketball team finished their 2012-2013 schedule with a record of thirteen wins and one loss and the championship of the Newman tournament. They defeated the Newman freshmen 60-47, the Forreston freshmen 48-28 and won the championship by defeating the Princeton freshmen 41-30.

 

Mustangs Embarrass Clippers

The final game of the regular season is often emotional as the seniors take the floor for the last time at their home school. Friday night was senior night at Morrison High School and the Morrison Mustangs  took their frustrations of a long , tough season out on the visiting  Clippers from Amboy and sent them  home with an embarrassing 60-19 defeat.

Harridge Takes First Victory

Calvin Harridge, earned his own Valentine's Day gift on Thursday, January 14, 2013.  He is the lone Morrison High School wrestler competing in the Illinois State Tournament, in Champaign, IL,  Harridge won an eight-to-seven decision over his first opponent in an overtime, from the 195 lbs slot of the Class 1A division,
