On Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Fulton's Windmill Cultural Center, 111 10th Avenue, Fulton, IL, Bob Motz will present "Spring Wildflowers of the Forest." At 9:00 a.m. guests are invited to drink and snack before the program begins at 9:20.
Motz has taught at Rock Island High School, Augustana College, and Black Hawk College. His college major was biology. He continues to teach Genetics during the summer for College for Kids at Black Hawk. He leads bald eagle safaris, too.
His program in Fulton will be colored slides with narration and will focus on wildflowers seen March through May in local woods and forests. Motz will also include natural history stories focusing on edible and poisonous flowers used by pioneers and Native Americans.
The program is free and the building is easily accessible. The Cultural Center sits opposite Fulton's windmill.
