On Saturday, October 30, 2010, many a different character, from Ariel to Iron Man; animals, from lions to birds; and even objects; from a bed to a fishtank, could be seen walking Main Street Morrison at around 1:30 p.m. Kids from age 0 to 12 were able to participate in the annual Halloween Parade, and about 300 kids did just that. The large number may have been accredited to the beautiful weather: perfect for a spooky Halloween parade.
The parade began at Community State Bank and ended at the Post Office, where the announcement of the winners took place. After all trophies and prizes were handed out, children participated in all sorts of frighteningly fun carnival games, including a cake walk and a "toilet paper toss". The games ended at around 3:30 p.m., with all children who played the games receiving a sort of prize. This year, Firehouse of God Ministries offered firetruck rides, which were a huge hit with the children.
Of course, an event like this couldn't just happen, rather, many people were involved to ensure its success. The Morrison Chamber of Commerce and Cottonwood 4-H Club held the event, while many sponsors and helping hands contributed:
