If you have been paying any attention to the news lately, you would have heard of the disastrous earthquake that has ravaged through Haiti. You may be wondering how you could help the people there who are in desperate need... the answer is pancakes. A special event here in Morrison has been created to raise funds to give to the victims of the Haiti earthquake. This fundraiser is called "Pancake the Quake" and will be held at the Christ Center at Emmanuel Reformed Church on Tuesday, February 23 from 4:30-7:30 p.m (the date of International Pancake Day). "Pancake the Quake" was created by Wrestling the World and will be sponsored locally by Morrison High School Wrestling, Key Club and Student Council as well as the Emmanuel Men's Ministry. Freewill donations will be accepted and pancakes, sausage, and eggs will be served. Do not miss this opportunity to help those who seriously need it and do feel obliged to spread the word about it to all you know.
